MCR NORTHERN LINE FOR DOWNER

Fencing Industries successfully completed a major fencing project along the railway corridor in Christchurch, covering over 2,000 metres of fencing between Tuckers Road and Sturrocks Road, as well as Barnes Road to Styx Mill Road. Fence heights ranged from 1.4 to 1.8 metres to suit varying site conditions and security requirements.

The majority of the installation featured black fusion bonded chain link fencing, offering a durable and low-maintenance solution. At railway crossing junctions, we supplied and installed steel panel fencing to provide enhanced safety and compliance with transport authority standards.

Working alongside Downer and multiple other trades, our team ensured all work was completed within tight timeframes and without disruption to surrounding activities. Clear communication and adaptability were key in meeting project milestones.

Health and safety remained a top priority throughout, with all works carried out in full compliance with regulations and site-specific protocols. The project was delivered on time and to a high standard, contributing to the overall safety and security of the railway corridor.
